Waynetown- Mrs. Sylvia Rachael Hamm, 69, a former resident of Waynetown, died at 10 p.m. Saturday in the Tri-State Nursing Home at Lansing, Ill, after a long illness. Mrs. Hamm was a resident of Hammond. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church there. At Waynetown, she resided with the Charles A. Snyder family from age 6 until her marriage. She was a Waynetown High School graduate. She was employed at the Waynetown State Bank after graduation. A Mongtomery County native, she was born Oct 18,1899, a daughter of Samuel and Birdie Parker Harriman. Her husband, Roy H. Hamm preceded her in death Surviving are a son, Roy Jr. of Hammond and a brother, Leslie Harriman of Wallace. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Rob James officiating. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.-- br
